Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region
Friuli-Venezia Giulia is a region in the northeast of Italy with an area of just under 5,000 mi² and population of about 1.2 million. The capital is the seaport city called Trieste. This region is a major transportation route between east and west of Southern Europe. It borders with Austria on the north and Slovenia on the east. Its southern border enjoys the beautiful Adriatic Coast while the western side borders with Veneto, a much bigger region. Because of Friuli’s varied landscape, its climate ranges from pleasant oceanic one in the south to much colder alpine weather in the north. Friuli Venezia Giulia is fantastic for all travellers – whether it’s beaches, outdoor activities, museums or archeological sites you seek, we have it all.
